Tour guide and teacher Palle Julsgart is born in 1944 in Copenhagen.

"I have lived in the Faroes for the last 25 years and have painted and made sculptures ever since I was very young.

I am self-taught artist and teacher in painting and drawing. Additionally I have exhibited in Denmark and the Faeroe Islands.

I have participated in summer courses at Holbæk Art School, Aero, Langeland and Helnæs. I've recently been on two study trips to China, Egypt and Jerusalem.

I have had private lessons with Fritz Bro Pedersen, who teaches at Aarhus kunstakedami.

I own "Gallery Oyggin", as in Faroese means "the island". In the gallery I have exhibitions, mainly from the Faroe Islands and Scandinavia, and my own work. The gallery's garden has been expanded with an orangery, which grows exotic plants."
